Description
This is the game he plays for the world. The whole world is a theater, and the people are actors in it.
It was something new for me, a new challenge, a new topic. I have never painted modern technology so carefully. It was exciting, unusual, albeit difficult.
I love the idea that Quentin Beck flies on drones standing on them, there is such a scene in the comics, and I think that at some points in the film he actually does it (for example, when he flew up to the terrace to talk to Peter Parker).
Here is information about him and his technologies. In order to portray something better, I studied a lot of material.
"Mysterio a.k.a. Quinten Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a fascinating villain, using his experience as a technological innovator to create and control incredible holographic illusions. Perception leveraged their experience in real-world tech as well as content creation tools to bring Mysterio’s tech to life. His tech needed to be “edited or revised” on the fly. Fighter jet HUDs, tactical consoles and other military gear were the primary inspiration for Perception's early explorations into Beck's technology.
Beck's wrist device gives him quick control over hundreds of drones while in the field. This multi-touch control screen is modeled after real-world military tech, and enables him to direct the behavior of drones as entire groups (or flocks), as well as individual flight. These drones are also used to provide reconnaissance with a live feed of on-board cameras projected onto the wrist device.
Beck's Helmet is his battlefield view into the simulations - his master console.
Everything is built to serve the illusion and to give Beck the most control in the field.
Combined with the wrist device, he has on-the-fly control over the course of the illusion's timeline, adapting to unforeseen situations as needed. He can revise the story using pre-built actions and live-record any new actions he wants. The helmet also gives Beck the ability to communicate both as Mysterio and Beck to various parties, including Nick Fury and his own team as he orchestrates the chaos."
- SPIDER-MAN FAR FROM HOME TECH DESIGN by PERCEPTION

"Unlike Thanos’ universal decimation or Killmonger’s political ambition, the means in which Beck achieves his goals are far more insidious and subtle: soft power. Much like our own society, the cultural setting of Far From Home mirrors our growing sense of media performance, hyperconnectivity and obsession over self-image. All these terms can be chalked up to the concept of aesthetics.
For most of the film, this idea of hyperconnectivity and performance is played for either comedic effect or character development, except when it comes to Beck. There’s something insidious and quite terrifying with what drives Beck’s designs. Desperation that goes beyond the archetypal revenge plot or vain dreams of glory. He’s fueled by the same fear and anxiety that plagues the very people he tries to persuade.
Beck realizes the power he wields with his illusions, holograms and his ability to manipulate the media. In a world in which appearance dictates reality, Beck fundamentally controls and warps reality. Much like Arendt, Beck believes that ultimately the core of our ever growing performative culture is hollow, it’s essentially meaningless until given form. For him, there’s no real grand, moralistic design, just a never ending performance in the name of justifying his own existence."
