What do you mean "How"? It has all the anime elements to it. The only thing it doesn't have is japanese dub.

Actually it doesn't. Anime usually doesn't have an organized plot, or plot twist, nor does it actually study the fighting style that it uses. If you take your time and observe these things you'd understand, and yes, even the art styled are different.
