Description
Once the young and aspiring rookie known as Bumblebee, Goldbug has grown a lot through time, once being naive and playful. However as time progressed and Bumblebee gained much experience under his belt, he matured and slowly began to evolve into an able and capable warrior, even taking on the leadership role. After many years of victories, losses and learning about many different cultures and planets, as well as a number of body augmentations over time, Bumblebee gave himself a new paint job and took on a new name, one he felt would display his newfound maturity. And thus Goldbug was born.

These days, Goldbug is stationed on Earth, working as joint-commander of the Cybertronian-Human peacekeeping group known as NEST, alongside fellow Cybertronian Soundwave and the human William Lennox. Goldbug particularly gets on well with their government liaison officer, Marissa Fairborne. Goldbug is not afraid to get into the thick of things, and leads NEST’s alpha-team on missions.

Goldbug has come to enjoy Earth customs, particularly their music, their literature and their TV show’s, though he really doesn’t see what some of his younger teammates such as Rumble and Rewind seem to see in the Earth-media known as “Comic-Books”. Goldbug is also quite curious to learn about a phenomenon known as “Super Heroes”, and contemplates whether on this planet, he and his team could be considered such. One can only dream!
