Description
I guess when something this awesome comes my way, I get inspired!I got to work on this as soon as I got home from work this evening...
SeanE had sent me the scanned file that he managed to get from Tatiana Dykes; the owner of this amazing pin-up!
It was so cool, that I wanted to do this one a bit larger...I only have some fine art photo paper that is 13x19, so decided to use it. Because of that, my Micron's kept getting clogged up from the coating. Had no choice but to use a 102 nib on this.
Anyways, if you are curious to see this one being inked, watch the 5min video here: youtu.be/f9OBx5czzbo
Hope you enjoy!

My goodness this is beautiful James. Really terrific inks. I would have thought if microns were snagging the 102 would be worse but clearly not. Really nice job. And as for Turners lines - sigh... genius.
Really great that your new studio set up lends itself to video making. Nice work.Β

Thanks! The microns seemed to die within a few strokes... the NIB flowed pretty good tho. Experimenting, lol

Awesome inks as usual my friend, great little vid too. A quick question if you don't mind....do you use the French curve alot? And do you use a ruler for straight lines? I'm trying to up my inking skills right now but do everything by eye, which looks awful lol

Thanks so much! This is probably the first time I have used a nib on almost an entire piece in years...normally I use microns...with them, it's easy to use curves and rulers. I generally do use them often, but, as you can see in the vid, not with a nib.
