Okay this one I need to know since we use the same bloody program.
I've probably watched you speedpaint this about 50 times but I can't for the life of me figure out how you made such smooth lines. Mine always look pixely, thus when I use the selection want there are little white pixels it misses. Nobody else would really notice that but as the artist I do. So what's your secret there??

Ahh I think when you select with the magic stick and you find out there're still spots uncovered with the blue selection,
you have to take the selection pen! chose the size of It and then fill the holes- I think that's It
I understand It's annoying to have white spots uncolored xD but It's part of the job to fix those mistakes before any publication of the art, 'cause many others will notice It too someday-
Why my lines are so smooth? I don't know If I can answer you correctly but let me try, in Paint Tool Sai you have an option for the line, It's the "stabilizer" next to the picture-flip button.
By scrolling down and selecting a lower number, your pen movement will be lowered, less sensible so you can control your curves!

I legitimately had a heated debate with a friend on whether or not covering up those little white spots was important because she asked why I never bothered with the selection wand and just kept painting by hand. I'll probably not be changing that to keep the spots at bay, but thanks for explaining that you use the same methods. Now I know you don't sprinkle magic pixie dust on your art to make that work XD
Mm, I know about the stabiliser. Maybe it's something to do with resolution or line thickness. I just find yours to be cleaner, part of what I love about your style.
I'll be checking your gallery some more once I find the time outside of drawing my current piece.

Ah yes the resolution might me a thing, I work around 2500 x 3000 pixels sometime, can be lower.
Indeed could also be something with the pen smoothing, but you can fix It by doing tests and change some settings with your pen/airbrush!

Mine tend to go between 3500 x 4500 and 5500 x 6500 pixels.
Bit of a ridiculous size there, haha. I might try working on a smaller canvas and see how that goes. Haven't gone below 3k in a while.
Brush settings! I feel like that was obvious... I was just playing with my inking pen and it looks a lot smoother now that I'm playing with it.
Wish I could re-do my lineart now but I'm mostly done colouring so I'm committed. Oh well, next time!

I have a new tablet and laptop going on at the same time, this is my first time drawing on both. I needed to wear my glasses to draw for the first half of the art, that's how different things are. My laptop is a gaming laptop, one of the best you can own. I believe it's either 6TB or 8TB. Space is the LEAST of my problems! xD
I chose a gaming laptop due to the quality resolution and high performance/storage. Something made to handle gaming which takes a lot of power and storage would be perfect for large files and big art/recording software.
