Description
Beginnings.I shuffle out of the police station with a haversack slung over my shoulder. I take a few deep breaths. I feel as if I was a newborn baby, oblivious to the world that I am about to embrace. I gaze at the pure stretch of blue high above me. The lambent sun seemed as if it is smiling down at me.
I was a man of sin. After a time lapse of confinement, I realized that I have been given the opportunity to repent. It is time to start a new book and turn over a new leaf. I have a second chance and I'm going to grasp it.
It is time to let go of the past. It is time to look ahead and see what the future has to offer. It is the present; the time used for looking back without experiencing the same history.
It is the perfect time for beginnings.

Very nice beginning. I was wondering if you could extend this though; it is quite short. There seems to be a lot of potential in this little short story which you could extend to a series.
