I have been inspired to create a collection from three particular elements1). setting - Nature
2). time period - Victorian era (designed as modern victorian wear)
3). colour - Earth tones
I have been wanting to create some designs for a while now.
This design features a lime green satin polyester fabric. With this design, I chose a pleated gown with three layers and satin ribbon as a finish on the hem. The ribboned-hem also features green rhine stones that glisten in the light. This feature is located on the princess seams, the collar, and the shoulders for a classy, elegant feel - yet something new exciting and bold. The collar shows three areas of ribbon enveloped with the green rhinestones as well to coordinate with the trio'd-skirt. The last feature of this gown is at the bottom of the corset. The corset is fanned out towards the bottom, however underneath is a secret to which holds the skirt in place. Lastly a petticoat made of buckrum and tule are made to help accentuate the garment and give it's look of fullness.
