This piece was inspired by three elements
1). setting - Nature
2). time period - Victorian era (modern victorian wear)
3). colour - Earth tones.

This design features a satin polyester fabric. It is a mossy green gown. Connected is the corset which has princess seams. At the bottom of the corset are three layers of circled fabric that is also satin in an antique gold, with chocolate rhine stones sewn into it, that glisten in the light. The same effect is on the bottom of the skirt for a completed look. This corset is also attached underneath by a secret technique i will not disclose. The skirt is a traditional bell-shaped skirt with lots of fullness. Underneath is the petticoat that also is made of buckrum and tule to give it extra structure and fullness. Simple and elegant is the collar. I chose to make the collar simplistic since there is a lot going on in the skirt with fullness. I wanted the eye to be drawn from top to bottom appropriately and wanted the proportion to go naturally downwards.
