I fell.
Struck to the earth.
Wings torn asunder
In this terrible rebirth.
My cries were the booms of thunder,
That rattle the windows as I screamed away my hurt.
I was left to be pulled under,
Because I fell,
Fell in love.

And cruelly the choirs mocked me,
As my golden wings were stripped.
And how the Lord did shock me,
As he sang about my sins.
How viciously they beat me,
Till I could barely stand.
How easily they gave up love,
Let it slip like sand through their hands.
All because I fell,
Fell in love.

The harp strings have been cut,
Like the veins leading to my heart,
I am one of God's broken puppets
Left to fall apart.
I have that oily touch
That will always leave a mark.
Now that I am broken,
All my fluids leak out of my scattered parts.
And into this world of silent screams
It's hard to find the love you seek.
Toxic chemicals called lust
And jealousy, leave the world looking bleak.
All because I fell,
Fell in love.

People casually say,
Love hurts
But it didn't have to be this way.
Reconnect the heartstrings,
And choose this cardinal sin
For an eternity makes life meaningless
If you won't let true love in.
That's why they call love falling,
That's why we look at stars.
In the darkness of the night,
We know those lights are ours.
We are not alone,
No never,
Not in our hearts.
Even if Love fell,
Even though she was broken into shards,
And left to suffer in hell.
All because she fell,

Love bends not to tyranny,
Nor those who dictate hearts.

Like The Morning Star.
Love did not discriminate
against colour, race, or creed,

Love could see through gender,
