Description
Once upon a time,In a High-Garden glen,
There sits a nightingale,
Who’s name was Karliene,
And by the bright light of the moon
In summer-times of June,
She would sing a lovely tune,
That would charm the ear,
Stop an arrow and the spear,
And when the wind is blowing
And the snow so growing,
She would go on dancing feet,
To a fire red,
And sing of giants dead,
When the drums of war do sound,
She haste to the battle mound,
Her sorrows then will resound,
And on the wedding,
When the blood is spreading,
All her tears are sheading.
