Description So recently I decided that I really needed to make a pair of knee pads for work. It's something that I knew I should have been using for quite some time, but just never got around to. Rather than buying a pair of pads though, I thought it might be fun to try something new and make my own. Using a technique I saw in a YouTube video of someone making armor, I cold-forged a nice rounded knee pad from a piece of 22 gauge steel. It took about 2.5 hours to finish, and actually ended up working really well when I tested it. I might make another one at some point in the future, but due to the shape of the piece, I may end up making something more fun instead.

EDIT: Due to the scratching caused by the rough surface of the anvil, I made a second one of these using a wood block to form it. It turned out much smoother, and I will certainly be using that method in future.

PS, If you've been following the Turret PC project, then here's a quick update for you. The interior structure is nearly done, and I should have another video up for it soon..ish. I just need to find some time to edit it.
