It does, but if you read the Genie Jar bio I put up you would learn a number of things. One such thing is that magical physics are at work here and while not necessarily comfortable Shantae has not been maimed or broken and when released from the jar she will be just fine.

Well I wanted to come up with an interesting damsel in distress situation that was outta the box yet tasteful and this is it. I did make it very clear that Shantaes not in any pain as I don't really like scenarios where the damsel is in pain. Though not in any pain I imagine she feels quite peculiar.

You know I just realized somethin. Shantae is a shape shifter! That means the genie jars forceful changing of Shantaes shape is tied to this ability. It is probably still unpleasant though as Shantaes magic is being used and triggered against her will. I might need to update my genie jar info page.
