Zidane looked down and watched his tail swich back and forth against the sand. He knew he was different. They were all different. Yet Blank had reassured him that they were all brothers, no matter what. They were Tantalus.

Zidane still didn't feel quite at home. Maybe he never would. Maybe he would always be looking out for that blue light. But he had the feeling that this must be what home felt like.

Used: Paint tool SAI

UGH. IT WAS GOOD QUALITY UNTIL I OPENED IT IN PAINT TO PUT THE WORDS IN. NOW ITS ALL PIXELLYYY.

Well, I was doodling on SAI, and I started drawing Zidane in his younger years, so then this quick comic came to be. It's a more serious comic than the usual you find here on dA. But if the quality's too bad and you can't read the writing please let me know ;A;

So I did this with Zidane and Blank when they were young. I'm not sure what age, but I made it to be a few years after Baku adopted Zidane, so its been long enough that Zidane has formed a brotherly relationship with Blank. But not too long afterwards because Blank is still helping Zidane learn how to be a theif.

... and ignore the shoddy cable car I drew at the start of the comic xD I had to use my ff9 strategy guide as a reference and the screenshot was like 3cm long, okay?
