Would you recommend Ergo Proxy as an anime I should watch? It seems different from others, but I'm not sure whether or not I should watch it.

Well, I'm not sure what your taste in anime is like, but I'll try and give some insight
It doesn't have comedy, some episodes are just talk and some action ( and the opposite sometimes, too ). The story is really intriguing because it's always pulling questions, and so far, few answers. It revolves around the idea that there is a conspiracy, a terrible truth hidden from everyone.
You can check out reviews on the anime if you're interested. In my opinion, if you're looking for something serious that just gives you the chills, I recommend it
