Description

Name: Tail

Alias: "The guy with the ridiculously large hoodie" by those that don't know what he is, "Cubtail" by friends who want to piss him off

Gender: Furry...

x'D male

Age: 21 months

Species: Chimera ant (mostly human, monkey, ant and maneless lion)

Occupation: Blacklisted fugitive, Leader and Founder of the C.A.T (Chimera X Ant X Troupe), Criminal, Thief, Occasional man-eater AND Aspiring hunter.

Rank: C ...

Nen Type and techniques:

-Conjuration : He can conjure a watch that indicates how frustrated he is and fake tails taking their base on any caudal vertebrae (though they are stronger the closer they are to the main body unless Ko is used on the real tail which can be dangerous). The conjured tails are made of animal tissues (connective, muscle, epithelial and nervous) and will decay and rot 24 hours after conjuration if not dis-conjured. They are not part of his anatomy as in not linked to his body by nerves or bones which are both replaced by pure nen. They have their own blood flow but no heart to produce it, instead they use their user's aura to direct the flow by themselves. Their organic composition is extremely acidic and flammable when in contact with oxygen. The tails act based on the type of instinct they were given but when they are destroyed, all different type acts the same way, by directing the flow of their acidic and flammable blood towards the enemy. Only two tails can be conjured at once and they will remain most of the time invisible (as long as Tail is hiding them with In, which can be countered by using Gyo) with the real visible tail acting as a decoy.

THE TAILS HAVE A CHIMERA ANT SOLDIER LEVEL OF STRENGTH AND TOUGHNESS PLUS NEN. ANY CALL OF THEIR CAPACITIES (sturdy, strong, fast, etc..) IS COMPARATIVE TO THIS LEVEL.

TO CONJURE A TAIL, THE CONJURER MUST SAY ITS NAME OUT LOUD (regardless of the context in which it is used within the conjuration sentence).

ANY AND ALL SPECIAL EFFECT ANY TAIL MIGHT HAVE CAN ONLY BE APPLIED UPON CONTACT WITH THE TARGET OF THE SPECIAL EFFECT AND WILL END IF THE CONTACT IS BROKEN.

THE FRUSTRATION STACKS WILL MAKE THE TAILS MORE POWERFUL BUT WILL MAKE THE CONJURER LOOSE HIS FOCUS AND CALM.

ONE POINT OF FRUSTRATION WILL STACK EVERY THREE MINUTES OF CONJURATION PER TAIL CONJURED. WHEN TWENTY POINTS OF FRUSTRATION HAVE STACKED ON THE CONJURER, HE WILL ENTER A STATE OF MENTAL BREAKDOWN. In this state the effect of frustration will become exponential, the power boost will become huge and the conjurer will become crazy at an alarming rate.

IF THE FIGHT IS WON AND THE OPPONENT KILLED (which can take the form of killing something that can bleed and will at least try to put up a fight), THE CONJURER WILL ENTER A STATE OF RELIEF WHICH WILL FREE HIM FROM THE FRUSTRATION ACCUMULATED AND EFFECTIVELY RESET THE COUNTER. It is the price of blood Human asks to stay dormant.

The conjurer didn't design the tails he can conjure, they are an incarnation of one of his instincts.

The different instinct type for the tails are as follows :

.The tail of Predator, is honorable and respectful (and biased x'D), it will apply prey to a target which will gradually strengthen said target and give it superior insight of his surrounding in exchange of its ability to focus on details and its willingness to fight. Those effects are not permanent and do not leave sequel to the target.

Predator is fragile but very fast and know where to hit and how to hit well, It has perfect mastery over its nen and focus on the weak points of an opponent to attack.

.The tail of Prey, is honest, simple and careful, it will apply predator to a target which will gradually enhance said target's dexterity, agility and ability to focus in exchange of his awareness of his surrounding and carefulness. Those effects are not permanent and do not leave sequel to the target.

Prey is sturdy and fast but not willing nor very competent to attack. It has a wide En that makes it good for defense.

Prey and Predator are a key part in the battle strategy of Tail, they assign the role each contestants will have to play, they both disrupt the rhythm of the opponent and impose Tail's rhythm and rules to the contest. It is the predator-prey relationship. Each times the roles are set or changed, the opponent must be notified.

When this rythm is disrupted by an opponent, 1 points of frustration will stack on the conjurer.

.The tail of Symbiote, is an enhancing tail, Symbiote gives strength to the target BUT the target have to spend much more aura than a real enhancer (unless it is an enhancer) to reach the same potential of enhancement (as a multiplier of current body strength) AND sacrifice half of the user's body strength for a period of time that grows exponentially function of how long the power is used (few minutes for 1 second of use, few days for 10 seconds, few years for 1 minute (on the conjurer) OR a few seconds for 1 second of use and barely 10 minutes for 10 seconds (on an opponent)) AS WELL AS endure a residual weakening of the body (function of how long it was used and thus how long the half strength period lasted) each time it is used. Additionally, the more it is used (on any target) the stronger it gets but it goes without saying, the drawbacks get bigger as well.

This effect is called symbiotic relationship. It is passive and takes place from when Symbiote enter in contact with a target to when whether Symbiote is destroyed, dis-conjured or loose contact with the target. If the target is the conjurer, the start and end of the relationship will stack 2 points of frustration on the conjurer each, if the target is an opponent no frustration will stack on the conjurer from the direct consequence of the start and end of the effect. Additionally, when the symbiotic relationship fails to provide victory -if the target was the conjurer- and is ended (regardless of what ended it (destroying, dis-conjuration or loosing contact with the target)), it stacks 1 points of frustration for each second of use. Finally, if the target was an opponent but instantly realized what was happening and freed himself from it before the count of 1 second, then 1 stacks of frustration will be applied on the conjurer as a direct consequence of the failure of his plan.

.The tail of Parasite, is opportunistic. It can drain aura from a target to become stronger, which also means improving its ability to drain aura. Parasite is the most persistent tail, once it finds a target it will detach from the conjurer's "real" tail (which will make it visible) and attach itself on the target. It will apply parasitic relationship and feed on the target's aura until the target's complete nen exhaustion, if nothing is done by the target before the parasite becomes too strong to be removed, either the target's nen exhaustion will kill Parasite or it will die after 24 hours if the target have enough nen to last that long (It would take approximately 100 000 on Knuckle's APR scale but everyone has a different resistance to the draining effect of Parasite depending on how well one control the flow of his aura), in the first case, the target will most likely never be able to use nen again.

Once parasite attach itself to a target, it will become visible as the conjurer will not be able to use In on the target's own aura which will become the source of power of Parasite.

Parasite is immune to nen attack and will absorb them. Physically, it is the weakest tail, any good enhancer or anyone with enough muscle power to punch through concrete should be able to tear it apart if it is done fast enough and that Parasite didn't have enough time to become stronger feeding on the target's aura.

Parasite needs a Nen source to survive. If the target use Zetsu, it will just fall limp instantly. It can survive without a nen source for a few minutes though which means the target can't just reactivate his aura flow instantly, he will have to flee away from Parasite range which is equal to its length.

Parasite will proceed to attach itself to any nen signature entering its range as long as it is alive, but because of its destructive nature, Parasite is not set to attach to its conjurer. If the parasitic relationship ends before the nen exhaustion of the target, 2 points of frustration will stack on the conjurer.

If the conjurer fails to use the moment in which the target was under Zetsu -after the latter used it to free himself from Parasite-, to put an end to the fight, 2 points of frustration will add up to the count.

.The tail of Mother, will protect a target at all cost. It is the mother-child relationship. Mother has a very modular toughness that can easily reach and surpass the defensive capabilities of his real tail when using Ko on it. Additionally, Mother has authority over the other tails and can drain them dry of their strength at any moment -as long as they enter in contact with one another- to have the strength to defend the target. If Mother is destroyed, it will communicate its frustration to the target for 4 stacks bonus plus 1 for each tail sacrificed plus 2 natural frustration from and to the conjurer.

Mother can appoint itself to the defense of any target but it will always be the one it first felt the aura upon conjuration.

.The tail of Cub, is a manipulative tail that can inflict doubt in the heart of its target. The power is based on the conjurer's resolve to survive which is strong but being manipulation nen it only has an effectiveness of 60% which makes it important for him to make his opponent respect him during the fight and once the target has been caught in the tail of Cub, the conjurer will beg his opponent for mercy swallowing his huge pride for a nice aura multiplier.

The tail of Cub can only be summoned once 12 stacks of frustration and before 16 stacks of frustration have been accumulated by the Conjurer. If the conjurer is spared, he is inflicted shame that will stack 8 points of frustration. If the opponent refuse to spare the conjurer's life and that the doubt failed, the conjurer will be inflicted despair and 12 new stacks of frustration will add up to the count.

.The tail of Human, is dangerous and judgmental. Human conjures itself when the conjurer enters in the state of wrath, which happens once 24 stacks of frustration have been accumulated by the conjurer. Human needs an authorization from the conjurer to unleash his wrath. For the authorization to be valid, the conjurer must say its name and allow him something.

If no authorization comes under 60 seconds, Human will enter a state of boredom and will destroy everything in its range.

If Cub has been used previously, Human will judge the conjurer as a coward and enter the state of disdain, It will destroy Cub and steal its manipulative power to use them on the conjurer to make him say "Human, I allow you to kill someone", in which case Human will use everything the conjurer has left to kill the target and the conjurer's only hope will be that Human manage to kill the opponent, and use a reversal of Parasite's power to fill him up with enough energy to survive and recover. If it fails, Human will keep on the mission, it will kill anyone in his range of action and by this point the conjurer will not be able to move and provide it another target so it will kill him slowly often giving him a bit of energy so that he won't faint or die too soon for Human likes playing with its victim.

If the 24 stacks of Frustration have been reached without the intervention of Cub, Human will judge the conjurer respectable but weak and thus enter the sate of pity, in which case it will wait for the words of allowance without malice (for 60 seconds). Whatever allowed the conjurer, if Human fails to kill the target, it will blame the conjurer and give him a quick death.

Human is the only instinct type with no self preservation.

Appearance:

He's got a lean and athletic build, blond fur covering most of his body except his arms that are insect-jointed with a chitinous exoskeleton. His head is wide with mostly feline feature and round ears. He is 1m55 (5'2'') tall and have a 9 meters long (30') blond furry tail. He wears 2XL blue jeans, has a set a extra large Black or generally Dark T-shirts with Logo of various Metal, Rock and Punk Bands and will not go outside without his 4XL, mustard (sleeves, pockets and hood) and dirty crimson (chest and back with the mustard monochromic logo of the C.A.T (a big ant head with C.A.T written below) on the back) hoodie and his tail used as a turban to hide his features.

History:

He was born as part of one of the last generation of soldier hatching a bit before the King's birth when the extermination force with -at its head- Isaac Netero was killing soldiers en masse. Like the other soldiers born around the same time, he got his Nen initiation the day he was born within few hours by Rammot. (understand something like 2 weeks after Kite's death). At first he didn't understand what made Nen so essential because he barely lived without it and thus couldn't really grasp the difference. He was assigned to Hagya's squad because he had recently lost a lot of soldiers (just like the other squadron leaders but unlike them he couldn't stand not having enough to command (and assure his safety on time of war)).

After the King's birth and the Queen's death he stayed loyal to the one that decided to be name Leol from this point onward. The first mission he ever had involving a "rare human" was the Killua hunt under the captainship of a bombardier beetle chimera ant and the direction of Flutter.

It didn't go well, that "rare human" stuff was Hardcore.. He saw the face of death, it had empty blue eyes and white hairs and killed most of his companions. At one point, he was going to be killed too, he screamed "I'm gonna die!" instinctively and thought it was the last thing he'd ever say but he was lucky, their captain saved him.. just before blowing a huge bombardier beetle fart in their general direction.

He checked on the other survivor, Nail, the one he once addressed as his best friend in private. He didn't know sh*t about anatomy but it didn't look nice. he removed the scythe from his friend's chest, his own scythe : He vowed he'd become strong and wouldn't use weapons anymore.

Then he carried Nail to a safe place and kept asking telepathically for back-up and news on the mission, he truly wanted that white-haired human dead.

When he learned Ikalgo had spared the boy's life, he didn't get it, he couldn't get it. The sacrifice of his team mates had been for naught, they'd been betrayed by one they had pledged loyalty to. Never before in his life had he felt so insignificant. for the second time that day, he vowed he'd become strong but this time he realized it would never happen if he kept being treated as cannon fodder. So he gathered the courage and sent a telepathic message to his mentor and leader, Leol : "Leol-Sama.. Nail and I are going to take our leave, Good luck... My king." He didn't expect even an answer so when Leol responded "You have lion blood boy! Vow to always be free! this is my last order" after a lame fan-girling shriek to how awesome Leol-Senpai is, he proceeded to obey starting his life free with Nail that had stopped bleeding and felt a bit better. After two weeks of practicing for Tail and mostly getting better for Nail, they encountered a Trophy hunter that searched for Chimera ants' parts to sell and expose. He teased them on how rare they had become after the extermination of their king and leaders. It of course came as a shock, they had no idea. They survived the fight but they couldn't land a hit on him despite being stronger, faster and two, they were even lucky they could escape.

From this fight, they realized three things :

  • they had to know what happens around the world.
  • they had to practice their nen and find a special ability they couldn't keep up being clueless and outwitted at all turn by their opponent.
  • they had to group up with the survivors to build their future and survival together.
  • And so their quest began, they searched and kept training all the while. No royal guards, Leol, Cheetu, Hina, Bloster, Flutter, they couldn't find their captain either, No one. Then they reached for NGL, there they found Bloster and the little servant of Hina. Bloster had authority on them but this way of life without a care in the world for the future of their people didn't convince them and they knew that Bloster wouldn't follow so they left in search of Welphin and Hina under Bloster's advice.

With time they found some ants and formed the C.A.T, a group for realist survivors whose objective is the survival of their specie in which daily nen training is mandatory. Despite their peaceful goal, the bounty on their head went up drastically once the word spread and suddenly they had to face blacklist hunters. They had made a lot of progress but the blacklist hunters were not kidding, they were true nen masters. Their number started dwindling rapidly and soon they were barely half a dozen remaining.

At one point they realized they needed access to the Hunters only website to have access to the information shared about them, have access to information about the possible location of other ants as well as a list of potential survivors (the Hunters seems to always knows a lot) and maybe even share wrong information about them and Tail was the one whose disguise was the most convincing as well as one of the strongest member so was designated to pass the Hunter exam.

    Personality:

He is friendly towards and protective of the other members of the C.A.T and to a certain extend of the other chimera ants.

He is the kind to hold grudge. He will never forgive those that took part in the extermination.

He likes mind games, he got convinced after a lot of fights that brute strength was flawed alone and needed to be backed up by a solid battle plan. And also he loves strategic board games, especially gungi because of the huge amount of possible combinations. He first tried it because he wanted to know what the king found so important that he'd spend days playing it sometimes on end.

He is often nervous and has little faith in the ability of his battle plan to adapt to all situations, he puts himself under a lot of pressure because he feels responsible for the burden of the fate of his specie. He was born a soldier and this fact is imprinted at all level of his being, he feels that his leader duty to the C.A.T goes against his nature and the freedom of his he swore he'd defend to the his squadron leader, the one he has never stopped to admire. Sometimes he wish he'd find an ant more suitable than him like a surviving squadron leader or captain. He has average self-esteem and a problem with how the other members treat him like he was the king. The king is a figure of hope for the specie, the one carrying the genes and giving birth to the queen. In his mind he is just a soldier, he can't accept this responsibility, he believe it is important that they'd find a more suitable king entertaining the hope that Leol might still be alive. He can be very rude towards opponents he doesn't think worthy of his time. He rarely uses his true strength or abilities in fight against someone that doesn't inflict fear upon him and rather likes mocking his opponents by standing still and hitting them with his tail.

    He is somewhat short tempered.

    Abilities and Skills:

As a Chimera ant, he naturally has a sturdier body than any human. Being light along with his superhuman strength and reflexes also makes him very fast on his feet and general movement speed even if he prefer to not move place during fight and use only his tail to fight. Doing so, the movement speed and strength of his tail has improved drastically.

As a chimera ant, his consciousness and head can survive at least a whole day without a body, even if a huge part of his body is destroyed including the heart, he can still be deadly and actually will be the most deadly in this state because he will immediately enter wrath and the tail of Human will be conjured.

He also has mastered the flow of nen inside his body but once again is mostly proficient in with using nen in his tail. After he had found out about Gyo he often looked attentively at how pro-hunters managed to modulate the power of their attack using the flow of their nen when they were fighting against his comrades and experimented a lot while sparring with the latter.

Being a chimera ant also means being a concentration of talent from differ-ant (I hate my sense of humour) species, so it is no surprising that he is a very fast learner.

Likewise, he has naturally a much faster brain with a huge capacity for simultaneous information. He can conjure fake tails and know how to make them invisible using In.

Weaknesses (should be one for each nen technique as well as abilities and skills) (as well as weaknesses for the character):

Being a chimera ant soldier, also comes with its own set of flaws :

  • he doesn't have a lot of initiative, he was born to follow orders and protect the queen. In fight, he always think about what he wants to defend and although it gives him strength it affects his focus.
  • he has a tendency to not take humans seriously and assume they are weakling by default.
  • his body is nowhere near as tough and strong as some of the late high ranking ants.
  • they aren't born to be curious which makes it hard for him and the other to discover how nen works by themselves despite being fast learner, not having a tutor to direct them is a huge limitation to what they can master. Tail for example doesn't know how most of his techniques actually works, it just go instinctively and he has no idea how he could improve his Hatsu for more control over it and the fight in general. (although since one of his dominant past lives was a feline cub, he is naturally a bit more curious than the other soldiers)
  • The range of his fighting abilities can also be a problem. Having trained nen control in his real tail, he knows its anatomy well thus all the tails he conjure would be identical copy for the eyes if they weren't invisible. It includes the length of the conjured tails. So Assuming he conjures a tail at the tip of his tail it would still only be 18 meters long while being much more difficult to maintain and use. This limitation makes him essentially a melee fighter.

Even though the tails have their own set of instinctive response to each situation, they cannot learn from experience, so he has to command them to execute plans B he'd have to come up with if his initial rhythm is disturbed. During this moment of reflection when he has to think of a new strategy he is nearly defenseless unless the tail of Mother is conjured because its only mission is to protect the conjurer and will not obey any command or be affected by any doubt.

The rules he set for the use of the conjured tails (mainly conjuration by name) make his power nearly useless against one that knows how it works. Also some of the important information in Caps in the "Nen type and techniques" section under "conjuration" can be used as weaknesses.

He always have to be careful about his frustration because even though it gives him more options and more power, he will never get used to Human taking over. Everything he does in combat is in the prospect of not having to use this tail. Most of the conjured tails have their own special effect, but they are bound to the limitations of the nen they are using which is generally the conjurer's nen, which means any ability they might have using manipulation, enhancement or any other aura type will suffer from the conjurer's ability in those field of application. IT also means that enhancing effect are not as powerful as manipulation effect since enhancement is further away from conjuration than manipulation. The near independence of the conjured tails also has its drawback : while he doesn't need to control them, he also have to adapt to their actions and to be successful guess their upcoming behavior which is based on how the opponent himself will act in the near future. Basically It means he has to adapt to things that have yet to happen, which is extremely complicated.

He has a messy personality and is easy to mess up with, if you know what to say to piss him off you most likely won the fight before it even started.

    Status :

In the Blacklist ladder of the hunter website, he is ranked 22nd as in the bounty on his head is the 22nd largest of the whole blacklist. Additionally he is one of the most inexperienced in the whole top 30 and the 9th most wanted chimera ant, the others being mostly surviving squadron leaders or captains (including Hina, Welphin, Bloster, Bihorn, etc..) and 2 dead ants whose death haven't been made official. This can be explained by several factors :

  • He is a chimera ant
  • He has been identified as the leader of the C.A.T
  • The C.A.T's intention to rebuild the specie has been made clear.
  • The bounty for his capture, dead or alive is 8.5B Jenny.

Comment section under his profile on the hunter-only website :

"He seems to be able to shape his nen into a tails and knows how to use In to conceal it. These might be dangerous in close range, they seem really fast. Perfect Gyo mastery is required for this hunt"

"I think he is a manipulator, I watched him fight carefully and I believe his power works around a marking strategy, he can then use this marking to influence his opponent's decision making"

"You guys are lame, half of what you says is completely wrong and the other half is useless, real hunters don't need to plan how to fight, they go in and give their best! you guys are despicable!"

"wow I thought it was supposed to be an easy hunt, but then I saw him behead an opponent without even moving, when I used to Gyo to see how, he had disappeared."

    "Lol He begged me."

    "and you killed him?"

"Nah! I am a successful hunter, I don't need no pocket money XD"

    "manipulation.."

    "yep deff manipulation!"

"STFU no way I'd fall for that! I'm just doing it for the thrill and I was in a good mood!"

"I beat him too, I let him go and I know everything about his power but I don't want to spoil anything. #Soren , I advise you to try in a few years when you are ready (if he's still around), fighting him was a lot of fun."

"It's funny how comments come from either some that watched it fight from aside and knows nothing or from hunters that spared it and won't reveal anything.. Not only it reveals that this monster is not stupid at all but also that, -well you see what kind of person seems to be lacking.. those that actually fought and lost, but well- we can't expect a chimera ant to spare an opponent.. May that strengthen your resolve to put an end to this menace.."

"Give us a break won't you? I am sure you are an intell hunter and can't fight worth a damn."

    "he's right though."
