Saw Kung Fu Panda 2 and I thoroughly enjoyed it.Also liked the design of the Wolves, and thought I'd try incorporating some of the body/head shapes into my favorite Wolf Mercenary (still trying to get away from him being mistaken for Wolf O'Donnel)
Still finding a balance between power + dignified. Want to avoid having a body-builder type look; something that expresses great power but refined.
Things to ponder.

these are really good sketches, with nice detail and texture, but, not to be rude, the bottom right wolfs head is a little too big. hope i didnt offend

it's a rather drastic redesign. But it does help distinguish him from the foxes and he does look rather fearsome. Maybe see how he looks against your other characters, see how he fits?

Personally, I like the larger bulk, but, keep the head style the way he is now. Now he is Wolf (and not o"Donnell!),
Vicious is OK, because sometimes he gets mad.
Really, I think he should go for the athletic physique, like Mens Health or something.
Keep the current head style; he is a person, not a ravening monster.
Definitely go with the fingernails; claws are always good.
Only go with the belt when his jacket is closed.
Also, make sure his legs are the same scale as his torso.
In these drawing, his head is too big for his body, and his legs are too small for his torso.
In the end, he is your character. Keep drawing him and I will keep following his adventures!

Although I love the changes you made, I think the head is just a little to big for the body. Maybe keep the same basic shape, but slim it down a little?

I have never made a comparison between your character and Wolf O'Donnel. If you feel like you need to improve on his design, by all means. I'd really like to see how he turns out and what your story is like.

The wolves in Kung-Fu Panda 2 look very interesting, indeed (though the main villain's design is what really caught my eye).
I don't think your character looks like Wolf O'Donnel, to be honest, but the idea of mixing eastern influences in his design might help you with the balance between power and honor/dignity. You can give him a well-toned body without making it look like a brainless body builder
