Been trying out some background ideas, used the Mongoose model and changed some of the textures to fit in with the dusty landscape.Related content

Copious amounts of C4 explosive.
Seriously, I Booleaned the building model with a crossed reversed landscape!
Basically, used a small mountain as a cut away template on te tower.

Steel Nation Tournament: Mecha-on-Mecha manslaughter
Create a mech and a pilot and fight in comic-battles.

Deadline is the week after New Years for auditions. Audition guidelines available on-page.
Once the combatants have been selected the tournament will begin. Each combatant will be placed at random locations in the battlefield of their choice. From there, they will seek out their opponent and battle until one of the combatants:
1. forfeits the match.
2. is incapacitated
3. is killed.
Rules
1. No god mode (examples would be impenetrable armour, energy melee weapons [see comments for more information] , unlimited ammo, etc.)
2. The Expo Centre is a safe zone. Any hostile acts within the zone will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification from the tournament. This is for the safety of our patrons.
3. All mechs are to have a sponsor/representative. A.I. system mechs are not permitted to enter unless piloting a seperate mech or taking commands from it's controller.
4. No limit on crew size.
5. One mech per slot. Multiple mechs that join to form one are allowed, but are not permitted to disconnect until the battle is over. All battles are 1 vs 1.
6. Going out of bounds will forfeit the match. There is a vertical limit of 5 kilometers.
7. Original mechs only. No fan Gundams or Transformers.
8. Combatants may not fight in the same arena consecutively.
9. Size limits for mechs are as follows:
Minimum size- Sport Utility Vehicle
Maximum size- Commercial Jetliner
10. Be creative. Tactics and strategy beat big guns and power.

The only critique i would give is if you can alter the color in the sandy areas near the buildings (to look more like sand), then do it.

if you don't mind me asking, did you use Bryce for the terrain editing, or is this all done in another program??

Well ,the models are done in Doga, then exported into Vue de Esprite.
Its Vue de Esprite that does the backgrounds.

Rather high tech survivors, considering they have mecha, but, yes, you got the general idea!
