i had this idea you see. isabel is my muse and i knew she'd make a fabulous dryad. and i fell in love with these leaves. so i got her naked, wrapped her in leaves, did her make up in these autumn colors, made her jewelry out of spun twine and got her to pose in my red bedroom b/c well - we didn't have time to get to a forest (which would have made the better setting obviously)
in the end i had these pretty photos but in very lacking atmosphere. 
i'm no photomanipulator (though i wish i was) and it took me forever to figure out what to do to salvage my hard work. so i added leaves from other images around her to frame her pose. i wanted her pose to be "like a tree" though i see hula girl here myself 
anyway - its in darkoom b/c i messed with it so much in photoshop trying to make up for the lack of "atmosphere" i had ended up with - but i felt my model did a great job for me and we "almost" nailed our idea - next time we'll have to find a forest 
helped me blur the wall background once i had changed its hue to suit me.
i hope you guys can appreciate what we were trying to do

I like this end result honey, I could see this as a poster for a midsummer night dream kind of theatre show. I love the colouring in this and the soft stylised glow too.

I'm in the process of doing some restoration work on some old photos belonging to my mother - got a couple of completed ones up in my gallery - [link] [link] - and it's helping me to stretch my Photoshop skills even further! Some of them are over 100 years old, and predate film photography, so it's going to be a challenge on those ones.

I think it turned out grand!!! I know it is hard to have an intricate idea in your head and a desire to make it perfect- but you worked so well with what you have and it is clear that you and Isabel make a great photographer/model team! I love the fall tones, the theme, and her twig-headress
