Description
pier images have been done a million times before - i don't care - this is mine and i love itCancun, Mexico - the Carribean Sea - no color adjustment - check out those incredible shades of blue - it blew my mind how it went from light green to deep blue so intensely - my husband swears its because of this dense sea grass that collects in the darker parts as he snorkled - anyway - peaceful gorgeous stuff that reminds us all the world is sooooo much bigger than any problems we might have

That sure is a beautiful shot! I love it. I agree, the green to dark blue looks very cool and tropical. I've always wanted to go to Cancun. The picture is very crisp and I love the angle in which you took it. Good job Mary

go the USVI before you go to Cancun much more sea life to see on the banks and beach and more lush - but the sand in Cancun is tough to beat b/c not only is it white but its really crushed corals and not sand they say - so it never gets hot on your feet

Y'know, from the little thumbnail in my messages, I really couldn't see that color change (Which must leave me blind) but it is so amazing. I live by the sea, I can see it from my bedroom window, but I've never seen sky that blue, or that clean and fresh. All we have is a murky dull brownish-green.
And our piers are offlimits because they're falling down and dangerous. You can't get close to the water unless you parade half a mile down the beach, over rough pebbles and shells, dirty sand and broken glass. It makes such a wonderful change to see something so peaceful, taken from an original angle. I would have been tempted to get right to the edge, and just had a mass of blue, which doesn't make for such a viewable photograph.

where do you live again? Acapulco is like that - rocky beaches such a dissapointment when you have to wear shoes on a beach! but the sands in Cancun are insanely white and COOL to the touch - which is a nice change.
most of CAncun was dirty - but the beaches were stunning

I've never actually been abroad, I live in the UK, our beaches are just mucky. I've heard that somewhere down in Wales the water is so clean that there are dolphins, but I've never seen them!

Oh my what a gorgeous gorgeous place! You lucky girl. The colours just blow my mind. You've also composed the pier in there perfectly. If I was to whine about something it would be about the horizon not being straight, but that would be petty wouldn't it.
