the best image is clearly number one
both for the priceless expression and it has the best focus 
its in his gallery on its own as a deviation and in my webcam 
though the point of focus is off a bit on the last to most especially, there is something to be said for capturing life with your which my intent was here - to capture my son's personality. this was on the blanket in the front yard yesterday while we ate crackers and tried to help us both forget he was sick. you gotta love his motivation to stay happy. (wonder where he got that ) so here you go - a spontaneous set of portraits

i know you've discouraged critique, but i had to disagree with your comment about the last pic in this series, i'd say the focus was spot on, since the shallow depth of field places the attention square on alex's adorably mischeivous expression, and creates a sense of movement at the same time. it's perfect!
the whole series is fabulous, and amazingly eyecatching -i was just having a brief peek at your journal before logging off and it drew me straight in, and i've probably said before i'm not the kind of person who goes gooey over babies, so i reckon that means something coming from me!

everyone wants me to get him into modeling but i don't want him to have to be in anything where its not fun for him at times this young. maybe when he's older we'll explore and see if he finds it fun or not.

I don't like the idea of parent's that market thier children for modelling. Perhaps some kids enjoy it - y four would have hated it. My comment was directed at the expressiveness of his eyes and face. He looks like he can express any emotion at will - like an excellent actor. When I suggested it as a career, I was referring to an adult vocation or avocation. For now - just let him enjoy life playing at drama for his mama.

i agree with you totally - which is why i've not taken him into any baby modeling despite the insane amount of pressure i've gotten to do so from family/friends b/c of how many photos i take of him and how he likes it. i have photographed kids and i know how they get tired and such - and i know business enough to know th child model bc/ a commodity and they'll manipulate it to get what they need out of it in that hour, despite if its tired, etc. so yeah - i'm not into spending our time doing that - i'd rather do it like thiswhen its at his convenience and mood

it blows me away the quality of the images it takes and i really really love the blurring of backgrounds when using portrait shooting mode
