The coloration of this flower makes me wonder what that little strip of red does... like: does it help to attract more bugs or bees than a plain yellow flower?

You're right there is amazing colour in the center of the flower. Amazing capture of a part of a flower that could too easily be overlooked or taken for granted. Nothing else to distract the viewer from the beautiful center of this flower.

Nice shot! I really like how the focus draws the eyes all around the image, really gives it depth! The colors are great too, and the frame is done well. Too often I see frames that take away from the photographs... Nice job! This is the best flower picture I've seen in a while, keep it up!
