Description little does he know how much time he'll spend with this "toy"

video games, the internet, school research, work

....right now its just BAM BAM BAM - loving the clicks the keys make, the fact he can't break it no matter how hard he hits it and how its like Mommy and Daddy's "toys" and they don't say "no" when he plays with this one

Ahh! So cute!
Wait until he gets old enough to play computer games and then gets addicted!

You could think this object is a keyboard. Obviously, your son created something else from it!!! I want to honor his reality!!

This is really cute!

Gabby, at 2 1/2 STILL loves to play on our computers even though she doesn't fully understand how to yet. She insists on access to them every day!

my siblings are farm kids, have yet to ever see a computer i think. i almost worry that they'll be behind. we need farmers, but small farms are barely surviving right now. i've never thought of babies playing with computer equipment before...

it takes all types of folks to make this world go around

we let him play with the keyboard just b/c he can bang on it and it makes clicks he likes and he sees us play with one all the time

i bet it is a very fun toy! it's great how babies can find joy in the simplest of things. enjoy him - kids are great at all ages, but especially incredible teachers to us when they are just beginning to develop.

Ooooh. Just you wait! One of these days he'll realize that mom and dad gave him one that doesn't do anything and your little trick won't work anymore. My two year old won't fall for stuff like this anymore. I can't keep my keyboard away from him without him letting me know just how unfair it is. Kids are so smart. And yours looks so involved with his "toy". I love how they study things. Precious. I love watching him grow up.

This completely deserves a fave for the purity of the shot, crystal clear, perfect use of b and w on this one; and cropping.
I don't think this is the future though... I mean... you dont know if your son is going to spend a big part of his life on a computer... maybe not... mayb computers will soon be completely forgotten for something newer, or maybe, for something older... I surely hope for your son his future is not only in front of a screen!
I wish him and you the best

LOL! I did the same thing with my nephew when he was just a little older than Alex. He'd learn how to crawl up and pull on us to stand next to the computer and slide his little fingers on to the keyboard.

Great photo Reminds me of my brother when he was younger, I have photos of him from when he was about 2 years old typing on the computer and not just like mumbo jumbo letters, the kid could actually type! lol and my cousin who is 14 months now loves to type along with me when he's sitting in my lap and he knows that the other one that I let him use isn't hooked up to the computer so he just throws it

echo-si [2005-06-03 17:45:23 +0000 UTC]

It's a really nice photo, but it fills me with more trepidation than hope. I know you'll be able to help him strike a balance, but I worry about other kids living in our digital age. Of course, I'm sure people said the same thing about TV and radio.

Beautifully done, though. I mean it.

thanks
