Ok, I've already done a deviation on this, you can find it here . But, to spread popularity, favourite this journal and maybe we can get it into the top journals within the Journal Portal if it spreads enough! Also, why not repost this journal if you like my deviation? Thanks!

Description of deviation:

This is still work in progress, check for updates every day (on the install page - click the 'here' button below)

Install here

Works best in Webkit browsers, e.g. Google Chrome, Chromium, Opera 15+, Safari but not Firefox (all symbols will be black, rather than variating colour in Firefox)

Find places where the colours don't match up with other symbols (including hover colours)? Tell me in the comments!

Gives dA users without membership a leaf symbol after their name. After the dA user symbols changed, there was no symbol for standard members. Now, there is! Inspired by  sparrowwrightheart.deviantart.…  ( comments.deviantart.com/1/4048… )

C'mon, if this gets enough popularity, maybe dA will consider making it official!

Thanks for reading! DevilishDB

"but not Firefox" Filters can also be used in Firefox, just in a different form.

Firefox supports :
filter:url(filterurl#filterid);
You'll have to write the SVG filters yourself unfortunatly.
Firefox will be supporting the chrome like syntax.

When you say it'll be supporting chrome-like syntax, that's already the same as chrome, except chrome needs a prefix and supports more filters than just svgs (but it does support them too). Not really worth doing it for firefox yet if I have to make an svg for every different colour, I might as well just make multiple images.

SVG for each different colour ? Nope, there's no conversion needed, you just need to use the SVG filter element, but I get what you mean.
