Description
It is a dark story ... a story about the little black swordsduck.

Guts's egg was found by Gambino, leader of a mercenary pack and all around sadistic and truly despicable jackass. He hatched while Gambino's lover Shisu tried to cook said egg, yelling Woo hoo hoo hoo and surprising everyone around him . In fact it surprised Shisu so much that she died of a heart attack ... (ouch ...).
Of course, several of the party members saw the duckling as a bad omen but decided to keep him around for a while because , hey, talking ducks are not exactly dime a dozen around here !

Fed up with Guts and his eccentrities , Gambino sold him as a snack to a fellow soldier by the name of Donovan. Guts fortunately escaped the appetites of the putrid pedophile ... because said putrid pedophile tried to cook him with nerium soup... that he tasted first ! (who said I didn't bring useful warnings in my essays , huh ?)

During the next battle, Gambino was hit by a cannonball (fired by Guts... who tried to hit the enemy ... woops !), resulting in the loss of his right leg and ending his career as a mercenary.
This incensed his anger towards Guts even further, as he also blamed him for the death of his lover and Guts's would-be cook, Shisu (then again none of us would take it well if we saw a bouncing duck out of an egg ! It is common sense !). Of course , he chose the bad moment to kill the little bird; Guts was running after a beautiful butterfly and Gambino was running after him. But his cane broke and his face fell right onto metal spikes, that were here.. (Hey ! It was a battle field so it is not like they hired someone to clean the mess !) and it went as well as you might expect !

And after that well... he grew up , bought a giant sword from the bargain bin (or stole it...) and became a merc . He did not get much clients (since most tried to hunt the egotistical duck rather than hire him .). After that he will meet Griffith ( that I call the best hybrid between a doll-face and a rapeface. Just shows how much that fuck-up is creepy !), who forces him to join the Hawks either for strategic motives or ulterior motives (it's Griffith , so god knows what he wanted to do with the duck !). Little did the scheming Leader of the Hawks know , is that Guts , despite all the arrows and ridiculous way he handled his missions,was about to change his fate ! (or anyone who read what I did knows , shorten it by trying to save him one year earlier than in the original story ...)
