Seriously though ? This is where I AM GLAD they changed the names. Yeah you heard right ! A spanish ninja matador named Vega makes a fuckton more sense than one named Balrog ! And where is his fire, his whip and devil wings then ? That makes no sense ! Unless he was secretly a Tolkien fan all along... but then I feel he'd name himself after an elf due to the high beauty standards he constanty upholds !
Now that I think about it, Vega also has the classic villain flaw of monologuing. In the animated movie, he could have thrown a tazzer in Chun-Li's shower and bam , WIN assured... OR he could have stabbed her when she fell on the couch instead of removing his mask (though in his defense, maybe he wanted to better listen to KMFDM) and advertising his commitment to barbarism. In the UDON comics, instead of reading Ken's mail during the fight to gloat, he could've focused on aiming for the vitals. In the 94 flick... I'll forgive him here, Ryu used the oven and had the advantage of the field... the locker room does not suit a ninja matador's abilities !
