Description This is of edits and research I have done for Ghostbusters Wiki's new project "Ghostbuster World Map" . The images shown may or may not show up there.

The research was aimed at find locations in the fictional world for: the Natural History Museum, Shandor's Island, Sedgewick Hotel, and New York City Public Library. Results are somewhat interesting but a bit off it seems. The Library doesn't appear to be exactly where it was in real life. I'm a bit disappointed about that. But the results overall I really think may be useful for fan fiction writers. So this is research.

Cool!

Did it match up with the Don's informal map from Making Ghostbusters?

Neither do I, borrowed it once from a library, that link is all it was. I would make for a good gauge of where some places like the Sedgewick is in the GB universes. Also for the hotel, technically you could trace the trail of the GBs in the Times Square level of The Video Game. Can't be too many streets connected to Times.

No 100% sure that places in game follow canon "that" close. Like the classes of ghosts, the locations may be loose too. These maps are not "that" far off the real lacations of the two properties in the first movie. I'll study it more today and see what I can gather. I guess if you don't mind the maps, then I'll post them over there (one at a time instead of one big image).

If anything, it'll help get a basic idea of where. The only other thing I can think of right now is Mueller's TSS novel posited the Sedgewick at the edge of the Garment District which is right near Times Square, I believe.

One at a time sounds good to me.

This still cuts at me a bit. However, as I've said already everything, even the movies had artistic license used in places to make the movie more appealing and same went to this. The game has a scene where Ray point blank tells where all 4 nodes are. however, looking at where he pointed, it was clear they either are really rewriting the new york map, or the animators didn't know new york's landmarks. The new york library Winston said in the very game was on 5th. So Ray was animated wrong. I know you (sanshugroove) heard this already, but for those following this deviant, I thought I should share my thoughts/research here.
