This I must admit was a result of watching Paul Harmon [link] work. Seriously, I want to break his hands, but he's so talented he'd just switch to using his feet without missing a beat just to show domination over all us. Plus using this new Japanese pen also led me down this over rendered path.Related content

I love it. That Paul Harmon is great too. This guy reminds me of an old old (well not that old, mid eighties I think?) Robin Hood BBC show. Don't ask me why. Hurn the Hunter maybe? it was live action, and sorta lame, so there is no reason why your fabulous drawing should make me think about it, but there it is!

I wouldn't call that over-rendered. Tonal textures with hatched and cross-hatched lines are becoming a lost art, unfortunately. It's amazing how young artists today show so little respect for this splendid technique.

Yeah, my scanner scans chipboard differently every time. Not sure why. I think it feels that chipboard is such a lowly material, it's beneath it's high end nature. Good ol' Epson 10000.
