The symbol is one of the Nine Helms of รgir (the Jotun of oceans). It's an ancient rune meant to be written on the forehead as protection from the power of others, esp in battle.

Honestly, all I did was add the symbol and added a glow to the helmet face plate and wrote "it's spreading" in the background of an old photo. Sorry for any confusion. Wasn't trying to take credit for anything. Just goofin' off.

It reminds of the "Grand Galactic Inquisitor" from the VENTURE BROS. in his teen years. He couldn't land a date to the prom, so he went by himself. As the night pasted, he never offered a dance to anyone. He just sat alone in the far corner of the gym watching as the world ignored his very existence. Then a beautiful woman approaches him and asks him to dance. He clutches his hands with glee and responds to the woman "IGNORE ME!"
