Description
Location: Lake Windermere at Ambleside; Lake District, UK.Taken with: Canon Digital IXUS 70.
Adjustments & Touchups: Adobe Photoshop CS2
I think I was very lucky to be in the right place at the right time with this image. We were in the room, just chilling out when my friend asked to borrow a pen and I got up to see that out of our window. Its the best sunset picture that I have ever taken; so I'm quite thrilled to say the least!

amazingly beautiful!
I know someone who's just gone up to uni in Ambleside, I'm quite jealous if there are photo ops like this!

Thank you so very much!
Yes, I think we saw the university while we were there actually!
I wish I had gone there! It would have been amazing!

The colors are absolutely fantastic! You managed to capture the perfect moment, when it was still light enough to see but dark enough to give a gorgeous silhouette of the mountains. You really should think about making this a print.

Great shot. It's so beautifully taken, the reflection on the water is a great touch.
Keep up the good work

I must say your photography absolutely stuns me and the effects, however subtle, that you add, only move to liven it. This piece in particular is absolutely gorgeous, though I quite enjoyed your other one of the mountain pass as well--the mix of the clean road and the atmospheric colors of the area around it made it really tasteful for the eye
Great job! I really can't wait to see more

A lucky shot, but it turned out to be kick a-s-s. I'm so envious! Your vacation looks like it was beautiful. <3 Is your camera a DSLR, or a point-and-shoot, if you don't mind me asking?

oh darn. I was hoping you'd say a DSLR, so that way I'd have an excuse to suck so much. xD I'm saving up for a DSLR, too. I'm wanting that Nikon D40x. ^^ It's spiffy, and it's not too stupidly expensive. *nods* Oh well, I guess the camera's only as good as the photographer anyways, right?

It's gorgeous. I really love the dramatic contrast with the light and moutains! Feels like the type of picture you could just stare at and ' pretend ' to be there, with a hot cup of tea, staring warmly at the scene.
