Or a fan can pair up characters how ever they wish? If you don't like it then don't look, don't go about bashing a persons hard work just because you don't see a certain character as being that way, it's disrespectful and it shows a lack in manners.

Nope, I am pointing out that you are sending hate and not constructive critic to the artist.  You are saying to the artist that this work is shit and that a certain character that you like isn't gay, when in the artists mind he is.  There is no point in being annoyed at that, it's a persons opinion, it was never stated in the show that he was straight or gay.  

You could have just said simply that you liked the work and left it at that, instead you have been rude to the artist and rather hurtful.

You don't have to comment on something you don't like you know.
You can just ignore it like a normal person instead of commenting about how you hate it or how "shit" this picture is because that's quite insulting to the Artist.
How would you know that Reiji wouldn't enjoy Hyouma? or that he isn't gay?
It has never been mentioned in the show that any of them are completely straight or something.

and I'm not gonna look at your pictures not after you basically insulted my picture
If I wanna draw Reiji with another guy I will do so and you don't have to look at it.  Simple as that.
