I hate emos. People who are acually depressed and really do suffer woudn't wear it on their clothing and shit.
They woudn't even listen to the music. Depression is depression; it's not emotions, and its not a fad. Being emo for five years killed my 'emotional' thinking and gave way to 'attutude' thinking.
I like some of the style. But I hate emos. You can wear whatever you want, but the attutude that comes with it needs to stop. And also, style needs a boundary. Go over the top, no one's going to take you seriously.
Emo and emotional is not the same thing. And clothing does not determine either, but the attitude comes with it if you aren't decent.
If you truly want to be seen as someone that has strong emotions, do it modestly. It would avoid offending millions of Cancer patients and Holocaust survivors and it would create wonderfully convincing effects. If you want to be deep and complicated, the best way to do it is modestly. If you use clothing to try to be deep and in pain, it won't reach others.
Over-emo art is just...not emotions anymore. It went over the top.
Another way to go over the top is to LIKE them, believe it or not. It just ruins the effect.
Emos need to grow up. End of story.

Some of my friends are emo, but here's my two biggest problems with Emo:
1. It used to be unique and cool, and now it's the trend. It kinda sucks.
2. When a kid has serious depression and stuff, they don't get taken seriously, just branded as "another sad emo kid", which can be bad.

How to you come to that conclusion that I'm the "OMG CONFORMIST"? Most people who hate emos were once one or have real problems. Emo is a trend emo bashing is a choice, don't kid yourself. This isn't livejournal, go rant about your problems that nearly everyone else has there, and write poor poety with regurgitated lines like "MY HEART WAS RIPPED OUT OF MY CHEST".
And you're all posers, every last one of you. I've never titled or categorized my work as "emo poetry",

I know what people see as βemoβ but what a true emo is, is a person who is happy one minute and sad or depressed the next, real emoβs generally are upset and canβt help it a lot of them have been mentally scared by their pasts and are trying to escape from them but they can they donβt know how to be happy some times because their still learning you have had a head start of may be 10 years they havenβt been allowed to be happy for years so they forget how and some times it all builds up and they cut themselves but itβs the only way the can make themselves feel better about themselves is hard to stop so donβt blame them they need you support not exile

I know of someone who used to cut themselves and it really broke my heart. Your attitude towards others leads me to believe that sophmoric holes like you are the cause so many people feel the need to turn emotional pain into that of physical agony.
