She lost a brother.
Now she weeps
In the arms of her mother.
He goes to hold her close
But she turns her head
And cries.
Years later the memory
Starts to die.
She picks up a picture
Of them all.
The days of the brother,
Friend, and loving sister.
Tears stream down her face
As she wonders
“Why did they go to drink;
Then drive?”
She will never forget
The way he died.
Friends shouldn’t let friends
