Tears finally fell down on the tabby's face. He couldn't believe it. His mate, the one he loved the most, the one who protected him, was on the ground bleeding. An empty feeling appeared in Eagleflight's heart as more tears stream down his face. "Tangledtail!" He cried out to his mate. He rushed over to the tom's motionless body and shook it as if trying to wake him up. "Oh Tangledtail! Tangledtail please!" He begged, his vision becoming blurry from the tears overflowing in his eyes. "No Tangledtail! You can't be! Please! Don't be dead!" He sobbed, his speaking interrupted by hiccups. Eagleflight buried his head into his mate's fur, the scent he'll miss for a long time. Tears stained the dead tabby's fur as Eagleflight kept mumbling for his mate to wake up.
