My love is like a pair of butterflies wingsI will love you protect you camoflauge you
like a pair of butterflys wings
You love me back learning that i am fragile, just like a pair of butterflies wings
Then you begin to hurt me, not being careful not seeing my pair of wings
My wings stop their growing they stop their spreading
I can no longer love you protect you camoflauge you like a pair of butterflies wings
So i am leaving you not looking back
Learning to me my heart adn my wings is harder than it looks
I have to learn to trust again
After I leave you, you learn my heart is not a pair of butterflies wings
And that it does not mend
Not like butterflies wings

It's an excellent piece. Does your therapist encourage you to write? Mine does. I told her if I ever get a whole book of poetry together, It'll be because of her, lol.

that poem is from 2002 long time ago i have enough to make a book of poetry or two but i am so nervous of what people will think this page is my attempt to come to terms with myself
