Shall we sleep,wait for Death to come?
Take me from my life,
this hell.
Feel like the reaper
has already sent me to hell.
My agony felt everyday.
So long to wait,
for his time to come my way.
There will be no bill to pay,
his service is free of charge.
Each person,
a certain time.
His knowledge of our demise,
unexplained.
Can I provoke him?
Move along my life,
at a slightly faster pace?
Tell me,
can he be persuaded to visit quicker?
My life shortened,
by just one finger beckon.
Just a simple gift,
from our dear friend Death.

the subject is very good inspiration...but the ideas didnt flow...they were all good, just needed a smoother transition from one line to the next. i read it and it just didnt give me as much of an impact as it should have, i mean its death, there is plenty of eloquent ways to write about it

was physical pain that actually brought on the thought of death, i'd set my MSN msg to 'I feel like death, so I'm going to sleep to see if death shall come" or something like that.... hence the inspiration

well written! unfortunately, it seems that death runs from open arms. he prefers to sneak up on happy people to extinguish their flames, leaving the miserable for later.
