Just thought I'd have a go at painting a rose considering I draw enough of them. I don't think it turned out too badly... the shading got a bit fucked... but when you actually have no idea how to shade that is bound to happen.Gouche paint A4 water colour paper.

yep gouche is a thinker more pigmented water colour basically, i only used water on the background though.

meaning is alll I'm after basically.... for me the rose is repetativeness.... because it's the one thing I draw/paint more often then anything else.... perhaps simbilising how I dislike change in life... i don't know... i personally never really thought about it, and now you've got my mind wandering

wow that is a great drawing i cant see the flaws inthe shading the way you blendied it turned out really good. very good piece

well i i knew how that type of paint reacted then i would give a suggestion...the rose is very traditional style but in a good composition and the greys around it emphasis the beauty of it, the life of the rose. if that is ROSE at the top, i do not like that...it takes away just a tad, but not too much...overall this is a good piece

thank you, i acually did the 'ROSE' before making the grey surrounding the rose darker, i was trying to fde it out, coz I disliked it too... but it dind't work all that well and it DID look better that way then it had originally at least...
