Beautiful shot!
Have you thought of playing with the lighting more here?

Thanks!
I really wanted to create a phantom background. I wanted the red to pop out to the extreme.
With Gabrielle, I wanted to do a real classic pin up photoshoot. Like, really classic.
I have a lot more photoshoots coming up where I want to play a lot with the lights! It'll be fun!

Mmmmm... the red coming out would be fantastic! Especially with the lipstick!!
Oooo... yes, I really want to shoot some very classic stuff too but the way I want to replicate it is basically impossible with the current range of digital technology. I want the really old 'Marilyn Munroe' look, especially for my digital cinematography, but they have yet to make the camera that can do it!
But I hope you manage your shoot, it would look stunning, especially with your models. They have a have a very classic feel already.
Hope your lighting goes well, I look forward to seeing the results! I was lighting a film last year where the lighting was getting out of hand, we were up to over 20 lights at one stage for a fairly small room.

Wow! Too much light isn't better then not enough!
But actually, the shoots to come where I want to play more with the lighting are not gonna be pin ups... Well, not for the moment. Anyway... you'll see in time... if I'm able to do it!
I'd have more fun with a third spot. But anyway, 2 is far better then what I had before, which was.... nothing. So there's been quite an improvement since I posted my first pictures on DA. But I still have a lot to lear, I'm not hiding it! I mean, I've been doing photography for a long time, but for a long time, I also had totally inapropriate equipment. And I wasn't doing studio stuff either. So I'm still in a learning process and I like it! I'll probably always be anyway

Oh yes, you can always have too much light! What you don't want is to get to the end of a day of shooting a film and as your switching off the lights the set starts to look better, hehe... but in this case it was a complicated set to light so it needed alot of small lights. There were only actually a couple of big ones, the rest were all quite small.
I'm sure you'll manage it hun! I look forward to it, if you get desperate for more lights you can always pop down to a local hardware store and pick up some cheap halogen lights and when you want to make them a soft light just get a white sheet to hang infront of them. Cheap but effective!
Everyone always keeps learning hun but I do have to say your work looks more than professional already!
If you use MSN and want to save maxing out dA your more than welcome to add me, I'm markscaldwell@hotmail.com on there.
