Description
Taken from my first days using Zbrush. Inspired by the Starcraft 2 Hydralisk. Looking back, I really went overboard with the details and should have solidified the form first. Regardless, I had a blast and definitely plan to do another study in the future.Related content

Thank you! You're tooth fairy is far more successful than this guy. You've managed to capture all the main forms with out obliterating it with noisy details like I did. Great job!

This piece of work is considered Fanart, it was designed with the intention to honor Starcraft and blizzard and its amazing to look at, but it isn't game development art and will therefore be removed from the game-art group's gallery.

Oops, sorry! Thanks for clearing that up. No Fanart in the game-art gallery. Got it!

If ever you make something with the intention of putting it in a game, even if no game is made with it feel free to post it
Its just that alot of people have been posting game fanart in the group, especially for starcraft and what we are trying to do is get real game art, even if its just for a flash game or such so that game-artists can get some exposure.
(Not much of a game artist yet myself
)

Yeah.... I kinda go with your artist comment. To much detail without a real foundation to sit on, so makes it look like it had a run in with medusa. But good design, looks like a hydralisk.

Thanks, I'm glad you agree. I won't make the same mistake (knocks on wood) twice.

Looks really great man! I don't think the details are overboard. They may be overdone compared to the actual ones in Starcraft 2, but with some poly painting or texture mapping, I think it could be really awesome! Very nice sculpt.
