You shouldn't hate it! 
Its a sketch, so it is okay the the details look messy: In fact it makes a picture look even more interesting xD (Most of the time sketches look much more intense than the lineart later on)
Maybe watch the anatomy a little more xD Looks as if he has a bend in his back, but maybe thats how the character used to stand like?? (Never watched the anime
