Some years ago I adopted a whole group of cats, intending to turn them into Warrior characters for a story or something. Well after years of doing NOTHINg with them, I fully intened to adopt them back out again but by giving them fresh new designs along with the unique color palettes they came with. But as I roughed out there designs, I started to fall in love all over again and the new designs only cemented that. And as I worked further I started coming up with personalities, and family connections and names and before you know it I had been playing with some story ideas with them and now I can't bare to part with them. So yeah, instead of adopting them out I have ANOTHER story that will need to go into storage cause I can't work on it currently. WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME BRAIN I HAVE STUFF TO DO!?
So yeah, there names are (from left to right) Marigold, Chrysanthium, Tatch, Bulrush, Reed and Vine. I don't know why I went with plant names but there you go. I really loved coming up with there designs, playing around with and exagerating them. I particulaly like how I managed to capture the femanine aspects for Marigold and Reed, think Ii finally am making more girly characters and it makes me so proud. I will likely have to simplify down there designs if i do go forward with a story for them as drawing and coloring took a little too long. That and shading, I'll need to really get back into practicing my prefered style as I'm a little rusty.
