My interpretation of the early Pink Floyd song Paintbox (originally Paint Box). Rick Wright effectively uses one of the Floyd's favorite chords ā E or Em with added 9 (F#) ā to instill a malaise that is sadly all too relatable.Watercolor, ink, graphite, and color marker (in that order) on card stock.

the dramatically saturated colours, the visible pen strokes, the snakey "ha ha ha" and the way the light drips from the counter... everything in this picture is just amazingly impressive.
