Description No one knows why or how it came to be,
The curse that bound a knight's soul to metal for eternity.

A young squire only seventeen.
A fool he was to take such a deal,
quite surreal it had all felt like a dream.
Invincibility, flesh became steel.

A vow, bringer of death, protector of life.
He would not sire a child nor take a wife.

A few thousand years since that fateful day,
He recalls again the girl in his bedchamber asking him to stay.
At odds with himself, an artificial being.
Old, broken and violent, a killing machine.

On he roams through his eternal hell,
seeking the witch who could reverse the spell.

I like the intrincate design on the arms and helmet, and the flower was a great touch!

Thanks! Hopefully I can expand on the intricate designs as he develops.
The flower was a nice surprise when I was trying to figure out what would go in his other hand. ^^

No problem! and can't wait, I already love the sketch so I'm sure the finished design will be truly astonishing

Also the flower reminds me (very loosely) of the bastion short from overwatch, such a beautiful way to add emotion!

Interesting. I'll look that character up for reference.
I only now realized the daunting challenge of picking a character without a face.
The viewer will have to take the empathy and emotions from action and body language.

I recommend it! Their designs are quite different, but there's still the same theme of emotion and vulnerability in artificial life so i would say it's still great for inspiration.

And I can imagine it, I'm not that great at expressions to begin with but I do rely on all the intensity coming from them in some way, so I bet having to only communicate with poses would be an entirely new experience.

This is a great sketch, top to bottom.  I really like the loose, grainy feel and the details on the upper body.

Thanks! I was going to pass the ARTWAR 2.
Then I woke up the other day, started making a random sketch and this took shape. ^^
I hope I can hold on to the roughness as I further develop the character.
