Pentax are sooo expensive.
I'm actually want to get into photography, but unsure with what camera to get for beginner.
I saw quite a few around the $600 range with canons and nikon. Do you recommend any?

When I started, I used a Nikon, they are fairly priced and are very easy action for beginners. The are GREAT cameras to learn on and take great quality pictures.

Ah Nikon their price is pretty cheap compared to Canon's. I'm going ot have to look some of them up.
