This is a very intriguing image because it is a form of artistic portraiture with a very avid story to tell. At first glance, the story is apparent that the subject has just transformed into a new person and a new life, such as the title explains. The fact that is natural beauty without the model having hardly, if any, makeup and the implied nude adds to the story of being reborn. Natural window light is well used because the light illuminates the subject fully and displays a soft lighting that also adds to the concept. Considering that the subject is placed in the lower right portion of the image implies that the subject is conveyed as being vulnerable, not dominating if placed in the center of the image. The image was very well composed when it comes to the little butterflies encircling the subject. They are out of focus and in the background, which implies that they are much less important than the subject and are secondary to the overall image. But the placement of the butterflies is absolutely beautiful and complements the subject very well. The blue ink or stains on her hands donβt bother me; in fact it makes the subject more mysterious because it might be a trace of whatever previous life the subject had before the transformation. Overall, the image is very composed, well planned, and beautiful. Bravo!

I love this. The butterflies, the expression, the light, the color on the fingers and hands...

Natural light rules! Great composition and detail. I like how the background serves as a gradient. I don't know what is smudged on the hands, (ink, maybe paint?)but I like it.
