To my eyes, the feather englobes the male+female symbolism as much as your model does. As a feather, it denotes softness and sensuality. But it looks so sharp here, it reminds me of a knife and knives are classical symbols of masculinity. I can't help thinking the woman is flirting with death, since she's carressing her throat with a "knife".
A beautiful piece in every way.
