Composition: Very nicely done. The crop below the eyes takes away a sense of identity, adding mystery to the image. Allowing the viewer to use more imagination.
Lighting: Very nicely done. The soft lighting adds more drama and mystery to the already impressive image.
Post Processing: It is all complied working together for a more interesting image over all. The textures and contrast flow nicely to the smooth subject of this image. The color noise and highlights add a sense of "old school" to the image making it appear to be older than it is.

My first reaction "No, where's the face!! Don't cut off the face". I wanted to see her expression when holding the ring, I wanted to see happiness, joy, maybe a slick smile,sparkles in the eyes or surprise. From what you've just left of the face(the lips), I get a sense of naive( something like look what i've got) or not knowing(what am I to do with this?).
I like the way the ring shines, and thus being the only clear thing in the picture. Now comes the fun part. Although it should symbolize love, commitment, marriage, put in the orange tree as a good material life, the rings feels like a cage. Because of the metal, it rings cold, dead, a prison for the finger, which ultimately becomes a prison for the heart. She's all stripped of her clothes, of herself, and this is the "naked" truth - once I take this ring, everything is going to change (new clothes, new way of life, maybe even losing the power to love). Is she going to give up herself for the little rich orange tree, for a hot sun and warm life?
In the end, I see her very very scared, continuously whispering "What should I do? Tell me what should I do"

i see (: . well, when thinking the photo, i didn't studied that picture, but a bunch on Botticelli s' pieces of art. also some late-Renascence artists.

That makes totally sense, body attitude-wise and light-wise. That's the ring that made me think of this other painting.

This is a wonderful picture that is easy to love. Because of the resemblance to the Dutch Masters of the Golden Age I am reminded of Johannes Vermeer's "Woman Holding a Balance" which has a delicate orange light falling upon pearls which are being weighed in a scale. In the background of Vermeer's work is a painting of the Last Judgement which combines with the woman's contemplative expression to say worldly treasures do not outweigh spiritual concerns in a balanced life.
A ring symbolizes commitment, so whatever you love, be mindful of the obligations as well as the rewards.

I think that many will have different interpretations of this.
A few months ago, I would have said she was giving her love to another... offering her Heart. Today, though, I feel she is giving someone else's love back.
