Description
Lorgar Aurelian, Primarch of the Word Bearers chaos space marine legion.Haven't submitted anything for AGES, feels good for finally get something done. This is the first primarch I drew that is shown in their corrupted form, primarily because I feel that Lorgar wouldn't actually look very epic in his scroll covered, priest-like armor pre-heresy, and also he has HORNS in his daemon prince form !
So yea, comments and critiques are more than welcome and appreciated

very good choice with the chaos over regular form, the only thing for me is his mace looks a little bent, like its almost about to be sagging over his shoulder which undermines the rigidness and unbending will Logars weapon exudes in duality with its owners fanaticism, other than that its amazing

An atmospheric rendering of the first heretic, with great homogenity thanks to the repeated horn motif. The crozier is well captured & the whole figure exudes menace. I wish Scibor figures would turn out a miniature based on your design. Congratulations & thanks.

The only thing i'd change a little it's the hand that keeps the weapon, since it looks a little unnatural (i dare to make this suggestion just because you asked for comments, but it's really a great artwork! ^_^ )

Although I have not played the game so far, this piece looks pretty sweet. I would like to know which size of paper you've used ? Because there is such a huge amount of detail in your work and I think it's really hard to put it on small sized paper.

Very nice detail. Though I think his head appears a bit shrunken and small, his fist is bigger than his head. That spike axe resembles those used by Devil in Heroes of Might and Magic 5.

I would agree with you in every instance EXCEPT warhammer 40000. You see, most artworks depicting space marines would show the heads very small indeed when compared to the rest of the body. I think this is partially due to the style of art that Games-workshop has developed for space marines, and also in part due to the fact that space marines are 8 feet tall and their heads doesn't seem to have grown as much as the rest of their body, similar to how an adult's head takes up a much smaller area of the body compared to an infant. Not to mention this is a primarch of the space marines, meaning their build and height will be much greater.
And you probably noticed this, but his jaw is not visible here, also making it look smaller.
About the axe, it's not actually an axe at all xD It's a crozius carried by word bearers. leaning more over to the mace category in my opinion.

well i think the actual lines of the charcater begin to fade a little, and the shape become a little indistinct. the chest for example, it is very detailed but the contour of lines is a little lost. howevr some of the pieces held shape very well, such as his left pauldron. it has plenty of detail, but u can still tell where the edges r supposed to be. the left gauntlet is done well too.

I hadn't really see Logar in his primach Chaos form where he is neither a daemon prince or a loyal primarch so I can't really comment if this is accurate.
But this is a great pic though.

Well, this is intended to be his daemon prince form, since he has all mutated heads and that, also some bone growths comes out of his arm holding the crozius, and one of his legplates is meant to have horns protuding out of it, but it's in the shadow so not very prominent.
