Description
I tend to think that if my Gaster ever got out of the void, there would always be this shadow of weariness and sadness over him. He's seen too much, experienced too much, to ever let it all go. Not completely. Not even in the best of circumstances. Though that doesn't mean he would never feel moments of happiness.Just playing around a little more with brushes and subtle effects, using my more personalized style for Gaster. Although I know where the red string comes from, I'm not sure why I thought rice paper was appropriate for the title

hhhhhh that description. Right in the feels. 3
You did a good job capturing those feelings in his expression.
"Red String and Rice Paper" just sounds catchy, you don't need a reason, ok? ;D

Thank you for the comments and faves .
Yeah, I just can't imagine the knowledge he would gain wouldn't leave an impact on him. If he can really see all timelines and realities in the void, I think it'd be overwhelming. He wouldn't just see all the best possible outcomes, he'd see the absolute worst as well.
I really should do more expressions practice >.>

You're very welcome!
I agree, and I hate to delve into cliche mad scientist territory, but honestly, who's mind could stand that for very long? It would certainly leave some kind of permanent psychological scars at the very least, especially if his exposure to all those horrible outcomes was prolonged. Then again, time probably has no real meaning in the void (I guess that's kinda the point) so effects of even just days of exposure could cause the same damage as centuries.
But yeah, one way or another he wouldn't be a happy camper.

I've never really understood the desire for either having all knowledge or being immortal. Those sound like two fast tickets to hell to me D= . One of my original characters had the ability to bestow either upon people who 'won' the right, though he usually warned them it likely wouldn't be what they wanted or expected. A 'mortals aren't made to withstand those' type of thing.
Poor Gaster *hugs him*

I would like to hope that there could be some kind of silver lining for Gaster in the end because of the fact he's had to go through so much and see so much, both the good and the bad. Plus, if all these worlds are available for him to come to, in a weird twist of solipsism there's a good chance he's already in ours. And hey, what more flattering than to have all these people remember him when entire other worlds dont?

There's always room for hope and getting a second chance is a pretty good silver lining <3
