How a Noven absorbs energy:
They have Energy-absorbing crystals, which the nova have Named Acroli, which are embedded in the palms of their hands, their vampire-like fangs, and all throughout their bloodstream

When a Noven eats too much energy, their bodies become heavier and their physical mass increases, getting fatter until they get to a point where their bodies 'sweat' out the excess amounts into a gaseous form which is then stored in various ways, such as in their shadow or within a crystal.

Effectiveness of absorbing energy:
The palms: Only two small crystals. So minimal effectiveness.
A Bite: Each and every tooth has a crystal in its roots. So each crystal can effectively absorb energy.
The stomach: Their blood is rich with these energy-absorbing crystals. The blue vessles web all over the stomach, effectively absorbing high amounts of energy quickly.

Age Progression:
They Age Normally, but can live for an exceptionally long time depending on their source of energy. if the source is plentiful, they can survive for as long as their source lasts until eventually the crystals in their bodies disintigrate.

The only thing that does not change is the algae in their lungs, which is an internal source of oxygen that is not a part of their own body. They also have a high concentration of metals which resist extreme pressures, such as the vaccume of space.
All Noven can realm-hop. They use their energy to tear open bounderies between realms and patch them closed again once they are through.

The Solarae (Sole-are-A: "A" rhymes with Bay)
These are the most common kind of Nova. These Nova rely on the energy from Stars. They often have so much energy left over, they carry around miniature stars, usually the size of golf balls, that float around them at all times. These Nova tend to have a texture similar to scales or fur, however the tips are charged with high amounts of solar energy, in which the tips of their fur or scales glow, the color depending on the amount of energy in their body; from blue to white. This glow acts like Solar panels, effectively absorbing solar energy from all directions. Their skin and bones are as hard as steel and they have oxygen-rich algae in their lungs which allows them to survive in locations without breathable air or high amounts of pressure.
These are the only version of Nova who can survive the vacume of space.

The Soulvu (sole-voo)
These Nova are Unique. They rely on spiritual energy from living beings. Due to this kind of energy source, their bodies take a spectral form; a Ghostly, transparent varient of a Nova. The color in which they are seen as changes from energy source to energy source in a wide spectrum of colors. The Solva do not have a physical body, and can phase through solid objects. However, they can touch anything with spiritual energy, as the energy makes contact with their own, and is unable to pass through. As such, they extract spiritual energy from the target, leaving the physical body behind.
These Nova are more dangerous than most, as they remain alive even if their bodies do not. If a Solva dies, all the collected souls they have absorbed are released, but the cumulative memories and experiences remain intact. The size and power of the solva resets, but their mind remains as expancive as before. For a Solva to truely be defeated, their own soul must starve to the point they are forced to abandon their own energy and "move on".
Note: Souls do not get destroyed, only stored and go into a trance-like state until release.

The Reavu (ree-voo)
These are ancient Solvas. Due to their collected memories and spiritual energy, they have the ability to take a Solid form as well as turn ghostly at will. These particular noven have a unique ability all their own. They are capable of forming temporary Ghost replicas of the souls they have absorbed, whom of which act similar to Solva, to collect targets at once, bringing back targets to the Reava to take for himself.

The Shivaeva ( Shih-vay-vah)
These Nova are can change their appearence in a flash. The appearence of these Nova depends entirely on the most recent bio-energy that they have absorbed, be it fur, scales or skin with varying differences. Their physical appearence changes in a flash. They could have scales, but as soon as they absorb the energy of a cat, their scales, or skin, ripples like a drop in water and rapidly grow fur on their body, mimicing the type of cat, while the scales recline and vanish.
However, their "original appearence" is that similar to a Chameleon, should they absorb the energy of a human, they will revert to their own colors and lose scales or fur.

Magevi (Mah-zheh-vee. For 'Zh': add a Z sound to Shh.)
These Nova have adapted to elemental energy. But are also the only family that can use Magic. As such, Mageva are the most distinct family, each element changing their form far more drastically than normal. However, these Nova are the only ones who can shapeshift between anthro and Nova form. Some of the species of this family can also cast an illusion of appearence, making others see them as something other than a Nova.
For example: Someone will see them as a Human, or even a dog or a cat, while in fact they still remain in their anthro state of body.
These nova tend to appear either in the color of their element, with a glowing inner flesh that reflects the kind of magic that they absorb. If they eat, or absorb the energy from, a magical being, the inner flesh that the energy touches instantly changes to a glow of that particular color.
Example: A blue-skinned Nova will turn a bright red in the area that a red colored, external energy is being absorbed.
These Nova, however, cannot digest any kind of material, be it organic or non-organic, what so ever. they rely entirely on magical energy to keep sustained. They also cannot benefit from solar energy. Instead, they directly absorb energy from the magic reserves of those they target.
The Mageva's elemental magic is dependent on the magical energy that they are currently adapted to.
Mageva, who have not adapted to more natural elemental energy remain in this category.

Mageva's "Natural elemental" Family:
All Magevi trait:
All mageva have the unique ability to absorb the element from magic or element influenced beings, such as mages or dragons. The element is extracted, but the physical body goes untouched. This is an alternate source of energy for mageva. Some take this route, while others take a more natural direction.

The Subtevi (Sub-teh-vee)
This is the lesser variant of Moltevi. These have started on their direction towards non-organic energy, but rely on a mixture of easy-meltable materials. Gems and crystals found in the earth are their general diet, while all Organic things consumed are untouched and soon coughed back up. However, Fur and Keratin is often missing.
These are not full-fledged moltevi, but have the general bulky, low to the ground bodies. They have short necks and short to moderate tails. These have three stomachs. The first sorts out what is organic and what is Non-organic,  rocks and gems proceed to the pulverising chamber while organics are stored in a waiting chamber to be later coughed out.
The pulverising chamber crushes most materials, the hardest usually being chewed first, while chemicals melt it away. The crystals in their bodies then absorb the material.
This is the first basis for Moltevi, who cannot fully rely on Non-organic energy, so they often bask in the sun for the solar energy they need, their backs still havng the glowing scales that act like solar panels. It will take a long time before they Become Moltevi
The Subtevi are Imune to heat, but subseptible to cold, can dig with their sharp claws and usually burrow to get out of danger quick, being faster than attempting to run.

The Moltevi (mole-teh-vee)
This evolved species is extremely rare, due to the massive amounts of time and effort required to become one. As such, only the most determined and the oldest Nova become a full-fledged Metava.

These Nova are physically powerful and durable. These Nova Rely on physical, non-organic matter to survive. These Nova have metallic appearances, based on the kind of metal that is dominant in their system and instead appear turtle like. (Explained below) The Moltevi eat physical matter with their Diamond-hard teeth, and the heat inside their cauldron-like stomachs melt the matter into magma. However, this is more of a hindrance, at first, as it takes a lot of energy to do so.
In order for this to work, they first use Massive amounts of solar energy to begin the adaptation. they turn this solar energy into Kinetic and Chemical energy to burn non-organic materials. This energy then expels into heat, which they re-absorb using the energy-crystals imbedded in their stomach. They then collect more more kinetic energy until they have enough to burn Metal into magma. However, they must start small and slow, so as their body adapts to the increasing amount of kinetic vibrations that are used to friction-burn material.
Their body then adapts until they can physically withstand the vibrations, and then once again collect more. Once this amount of kinetic energy is achieved, their bodies become as durable as any metal, or if ancient, even diamond; while their cumulated kinetic energy revolves in a permanent motion to burn high amounts of material without losing any heat energy in the process. Eventually, they Cease to rely on solar energy, and from then onward rely on the kinetic and heat energy from the collecting magma in their bellies.

In short: They gain kinetic energy while recycling heat energy lost in an endless rotation.

Differences: They appear nothing like eastern dragons. They have bulky, rounded bodies and short necks and tails. the extremities, such as spikes or horns, vary per Moltevi. This allows them to collect large amounts of magma, since their bodies cannot stretch or fluctuate. the Spherical shape allows for easy kinetic motion as well. They are Slow, but their physical strength outmatches any other nova.
This, however, is the slowest of all adaptations. As such, All moltevi, save for the rare ancient, remain small.

Electrovi (Ee-lek-trow-vee)
These Mageva take the wild energy of electricity. They take the form of blue or gold, and have more streamlike bodies. they have spikes all over their bodies that flow with electricity. It can often be seen a flow of lightning between two spikes. Even their bite is electrifying. They use these conductive spikes to catch lightning and absorb it. This causes the tips to glow very brightly, showing the Electrovi is charged. The scales on their body are flat and overlap, bouncing electricity away from the body to be caught and absorbed by the spikes.

Shadovi (Shadow-vee)
These Mageva Are extremely rare. They are Noven who have come in contact with high amounts of Zero point energy, which alter their Structure. It causes them to be able to liquid shift at will and gives them a Dark color scale, Usually negatives such as Black, white, and grey with hints of other colors here and there. The shadovi don't have any restrictions on what energy they can use, but the excess always becomes more Zero point energy.

Aquovi (Ah-quow-vee)
These are Noven who take Hydrogen into their bodies. the water is absorbed by the crystals, which extracts the hydrogen. The hydrogen energy sustains them, before being altered into heat and released through the surface of their body. They retain eastern appearances, but acquire more fish-like traits.

Frosvi (Fross-vee)
While not particularly difficult to achieve, these are Aquova who have switched from Water to Ice. While the need for hydrogen remains the same, the body has adapted to the Cold frozen ice.
These Noven usually are cold to the touch, especially from the inside.

Reproduction:
All nova are genderless. They are neither male nor female because they do not need to be. However, many Choose to have a gender, forming whats necessary.
To reproduce, the two mates first touch each other's palms, like holding hands, anchoring each other's own energy into the other. They then stand a respectable distance from each other, and circle around each other at an even pace, either floating or walking.
Between two nova, the two bite each other instead of touching palms.

When they do this, the two release their own unique energy, from no specific point, into the empty space between them, where the energies merge and blend equally. When this happens, the energy turns into biomass, where an egg is formed. It appears as a sort of dance between the two, with visible flows of energy circulating between the two.
The mate doesn't even have to be a nova. However, the offspring will always become a Nova, but with characteristics of the other species. For example, a red mane if the mother is a red headed woman.
