"What's so unusual about that, princess?" he asked quietly. "Do you know how your story ends?" --Dustfinger, Inkheart--Paul Bettany as Dustfinger from the upcoming movie 'Inkheart'. That's Gwin on his shoulder. It's my first time drawing a marten.
Done in 3 hours with reference material using F, 2H, HB, 2B, 4B and 8B pencils and a cotton bud in my sketchbook.

A minor correction: Gwin is a marten in the books, but they used a ferret in the movie instead.
So, I technically drew a ferret instead of a marten.

Excellent drawing. I especially like the angle you have his face at. It looks almost like a photograph. You did a good job on the ferret's fur as well.
Hmmm, a cotton wad...bet that works a lot better than a finger for smudging. I should try that.

Yeah, I prefer a cotton bud because my fingers can sometimes be kinda oily (which would ruin the whole drawing DX).
